Configuration versioning consists of the repeated retrieval of configuration, and storage of the resulting XoomXML files into a revision control system repository. Configuration versioning brings all the benefits of revision control to configuration management. These benefits include the systematic tracking of configuration changes and the ability to roll back to an earlier configuration should the need arise.
