Remove Sensitive Information

The Remove Sensitive Information transformation removes sensitive information such as connect strings and passwords.

The transformation is useful in configuration versioning when security requirements prohibit the storing of sensitive information in clear text. The transformation generates XoomXML.

The transformation does the following:

• ConnectString attributes are emptied from the Audit Definition setting. ConnectString attributes define connection strings, including passwords, for various external connections.
• Connection strings of data sources are removed from ClickForecast general settings.
• Passwords associated with GIS providers for various countries are removed from GIS providers list.

This transformation is no longer strictly needed as Xoom 3.7 seamlessly encrypts sensitive information when creating XoomXML. The transformation is included here for reasons of backwards compatibility.
