Named queries

With the exception of Settings Migration Tool, which is fully interactive, all Xoom client tools retrieve predefined subsets of configuration using named queries.

Named queries define the subsets of items that can be retrieved from configuration. Named queries are defined on, and supplied to Xoom client tools by, Xoom server. Xoom comes with the following out-of-the-box queries:

Service Optimization Files Info. Gathers information on the Service Optimization files that are installed on the server to which you are connected, including patches and custom files. This query is customisable. For more information, click here.
Xoom Files Info. Gathers information on the Xoom files that are installed on the server to which you are connected. This query is customisable. For more information, click here.
DEFAULT. Retrieves a sufficient subset of configuration (including related Dictionaries) such that Xoom Reporting will produce meaningful results if used on an out-of-the-box configuration. When we provide the installer for clients we tailor the DEFAULT query to include customisations.
Administrative User Settings. Retrieves only administrative User Settings.
All. Retrieves everything in DEFAULT plus everything in Administrative User Settings.
Scheme. Retrieves only the Scheme.
Structure. Retrieves the Scheme together with Object References.
Dictionaries. Retrieves all Dictionaries that are actually in use, that is, Dictionaries that have an entry in SXP Object References. We generally add a Dictionaries query when customising the installer.
