You can use Settings Migration Tool to explore dependencies interactively during
retrieval and deployment. This can be useful when you are interested in
the dependencies of a select group of items.
- When you retrieve items in Settings Migration Tool, a
Dependency window opens. This enables you to review all
the dependencies of the selected items.
- When you load a XoomXML file into Settings Migration Tool, the Items
View pane lists both dependents and dependencies for
every item that is a candidate for deployment. Settings Migration Tool does
not show the dependencies that already exist in the target system – for
that you need to run a full dependency analysis.
