Xoom Processor gives you the option of saving configuration as a Xoom folder rather than a single XoomXML file.
In a Xoom folder, each item is stored in a separate XoomXML file with a well-defined name within a well-defined hierarchy of folders. Each file is a full XoomXML file that can be deployed independently. Individual files can be combined in Xoom Processor to give you XoomXML containing desired items only.
The main use case for Xoom folders is in configuration versioning. File-per-item versioning makes it easy to identify the items that changed in each revision. It also makes it easy to see the full history of each individual item.
