Settings Migration Tool uses the Service Optimization Microsoft Managment Console setting to populate the administrative
tree hierarchy, but it automatically includes some nodes and excludes others. It uses the
following criteria.
Nodes that are included:
Nodes that are excluded:
- Dictionaries that do not have an entry in SXP Object Reference.
- All nodes that contain dynamic data, that is data that changes on a rapid (day
to day) basis. For example, the Service Optimization Administration tool has a node, Objects,
that contains all Business objects. It does not appear in Settings Migration Tool because it does
not discriminate static data from dynamic data. From Xoom 3.7.0 the
criteria have been adjusted, following customer demand, so that certain
Business objects can be included. Business objects are included provided
they:
- Are Collections, not Dictionaries.
- Are identified.
- Are cached.
- Are custom, that is, their <IsProduct> setting is
false.
- Though we only support the management of static data, it is perfectly possible
to create a
custom query that uses Xoom to retrieve Dynamic data.
